One thing I have been thinking a lot for sometime is why is it that whenever we think of the past we think of them as the "good old days" but when in reality we were hating that time as much as we are hating now.

Like for example when I was in college, I used to hate it but when I think of it now those moments that I hated have become funny and are stories to talk about. And suddenly we find ourselves saying "those were the days, wish we could go back"

Is it that these 2 horrible years due to covid might be seen that way too, In 4 years time you will be amazed at how the whole world was wearing masks and staying home. You will be thinking of how all the meeting with friends happened over zoom where you all played games or just spoke for hours more regularly than you did pre-covid and wonder "wow those were fun days" irrespective of all the horror around? (maybe not, maybe yes)

Made a rough sketch on what I have been thinking if my writing failed to put my thoughts clearly (not that the sketch is decent)
